Centre of Excellence for Women's Studies
Established as a project in 1989 by the Ministry of Women Development, Government of Pakistan, CEWS launched the first M.A. in Women's Studies in Pakistan in 1996 at the University of Karachi. It introduced an M.Phil./Ph.D. program in 2002, a BS (Hons.) four-year program from 2007, and an M.A. Evening program from 2010.
