M.A. (Economics)
Course material for the M.A. Economics degree is available at the University Book Shop. The examination structure for the degree follows the rules below.
Important Notes
- The M.A. examination is taken in two parts — the Previous examination and the (Final) examination — each covering one year of study. Students who have passed the three-year B.A. Honours examination may sit the M.A. Final examination directly, without first passing the M.A. Previous examination.
- The Previous examination consists of five papers: Papers I–IV are compulsory, and one optional paper is chosen from Paper V. Each paper carries 100 marks and runs for 3 hours.
- The Final examination consists of five papers: Papers I, II, III and V are compulsory, with one optional paper chosen from Paper IV. Each paper carries 100 marks and runs for 3 hours.
