Program Goals
- The directorate will use a combination of video lectures, reading material, audio/video tutorials and on-line interaction (e-class rooms) for imparting knowledge.
- As far as the curriculum is concerned, it is more or less the same.
- It will follow a very formal assessment and evaluation system in the same fashion as used in any conventional Higher education institution.
- Although, the University observes the semester system for regular students, the distance students will have annual system.
- The video lectures will be developed by highly qualified faculty members or field experts in a complete digital environment.
- These lectures would also be delivered through the Learning Management System (LMS).
- Lectures will also be made available on the directorate of distance education's website.
- The registration and examination for external programs will be conducted as usual or as per the past practice of University of Karachi.
