Seminars, Conferences and Workshops
The Area Study Centre for Europe arranges lectures, seminars and conferences on contemporary issues concerning Europe and the latter’s relations with the rest of the world. Local and foreign scholars, faculty members and senior students participate in these programmes. The Centre held its first international seminar in October 1995 on post-Cold War European Order and South Asia in collaboration with the Hanns Seidel Foundation, (Munich, Germany). To-date the Centre has held an International seminar each year in collaboration with the Hanns Seidel Foundation. Under the European union-sponsored Programme the Centre held several seminar and workshops which continued for the duration of the Programme. Eminent scholars from Europe and Pakistan participated in these events. Two international seminars in (2000 and 2002) were held with the joint collaboration of the Hanns Seidel Foundation and the European Union.
