KU offers MPhil / PhD programme

The International Center for Chemical and Biological Sciences (ICCBS), University of Karachi has announced that October 19, 2007 is the last date for submission of the admission forms of MPhil / PhD programme to Dr Panjwani Centre for Molecular Medicine and Drug Research (PCMD), KU and HEJ Research Institute of Chemistry, KU.

As per announcement made by the ICCBS on Wednesday, candidates possessing MSc in any discipline of Allied Health Sciences or equivalent professional degrees such as MBBS and BPharm will be eligible for enrollment as MPhil /
PhD candidates of Molecular Medicine at PCMD. Although, the candidate is required to have a degree of MSc and Bpharm in specific areas of sciences to acquire admission to MPhil / PhD programme in Organic Chemistry, Biotechnology, Plant Biotechnology, Pharmacology, Analytical Chemistry (related to Marine Biology), and Computational Chemistry at the HEJ research institute.

The admission test for acquiring admission to MPhil / PhD programme at HEJ institute is scheduled to be held on October 22, 2007 at the ICCBS, KU. While the same test for MPhil / PhD programme of Molecular Medicine at PCMD will be held on October 23, 2007 at the same place.

According to announcement, the candidates are advised to submit their applications along with the attested copies of the certificates and degrees and a bank draft of Rs 1,000. The prescribed application forms and prospectus are available on the ICCBS website: www.iccs.edu
