Certificate distribution ceremony

“Universities and Madarsaas should not only impart knowledge and skills but they should also play their part in bringing social and political stability in the country by working collaboratively. We have divided knowledge into two separate entities i.e. the knowledge of religion and the knowledge of social sciences, which hinders excellence in both the areas. The need of the time is to introduce new technology in every sphere of life be it religion or any other social and scientific subject” said the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Pirzada Qasim Raza Siddiqui while addressing to the certificate distribution ceremony of the refresher course for teachers and students of religious madarsaas on February 10th 2010 at the Arts Auditorium. The third batch was awarded certificates in the ceremony. The objective behind the course is to empower teachers of religious madarsas with modern teaching methods and techniques. Program in-charge Dean Faculty of Arts, Prof. Dr. Saleem Memon presented vote of thanks. Maulana Dr. Asad Thanvi, Dr. Abdur Rasheed, Dr. Mufti Imran-ul-Haq, Maulana Hafiz M. Prof. Dr. Kigri Irhan, University of Anqara, conducted the workshop. According to Prof. Irhan Turkey is playing an important role in Foreign policy. It is not interested in obtaining the membership with European Union instead it is now more concerned in maintaining its Turkish identity because as compared to other eastern European countries Turkey is more dynamic but due to its dense Muslim population European Union has some reservations that after its involvement in the European Union it will change the European politics. Instead Turkish involvement in the custom system of European Union has strengthened diplomatic regime and human rights and due to this collaboration the country can be saved from Army interference.
