The Department of Visual Studies conducts its own admission process consisting of an aptitude test and an interview.

Eligibility

• Students who have passed H.S.C. (Intermediate) Examination or equivalent examination with 45% marks within the last 5 years from a recognized board are eligible to apply.

• Diploma holders who have obtained a diploma from a recognized institution (e.g. SBTE) within the past 5 years with at least 60% marks shall also be eligible to apply.

• Students applying for the Architecture course require H.S.C. (Pre-engineering) or equivalent with a minimum of 45% marks or SBTE DEA diploma with a minimum of 60% marks

• 3% merit seats are available for students who have passed their pre-requisite examination more than five years ago.

Note: Applicants must fulfil the category requirements of the University.

Aptitude Test
Students fulfilling the above mentioned academic requirements will be allowed to sit in the aptitude test. A sample test paper is included separately in the envelope. This test consists of two sections, practical and written.

Interviews

Students securing 50% marks in the test will be called for an interview. It is recommended that you bring a portfolio of work to the interview.

• 80% marks are for the test and interview.
  
• 20% marks for HSC grades.

Admissions are granted upon successful completion of aptitude test and interview.
