The master’s course in Health & Physical Education Department is designed to provide high standard education in this field to the young men and women of Pakistan in order to create employable sports Administrators, officials, managers and coaches etc.

ATTENDANCE REQUIREMENTS
All students must maintain a minimum of 75% attendance in theory as well as practices; otherwise they will not be allowed to appear in the examination.
PROMOTION RULES
A student must pass at least 8 out of the 10 courses during the first two semesters of his/ her M.Sc. (Previous) year, before he/ she would be allowed to enrolled as M.Sc. (Final) Student.
ASSESSMENT
- The assessment of student's performance will be made out of 100 marks fixed for a course in general.
- A minimum of 40% marks are required to pass. Both theory and practical exams are separate passing heads.
- Over all grading for the declaration of final result would be according to the following criteria:
First Division 60% and above Second Division 45% and less than 60% Fail in Aggregate less than 45%
The teaching at the University of Karachi is done under the Semester System. An academic year is divided into two semesters of approximately 16 week teaching followed by a two week Terminal Examination period. The Courses are specified as bearing certain number of credit hours, i.e., 3, 2+1 etc. What this means is that a particular course has 3 Lectures or 2 Lectures and 1 Lab period per week.
